Fly into San Francisco Airport, if possible, since it has more convenient ground transportation to Mill Valley. There are 3 options for getting from the San Francisco Airport to Mill Valley:

This bus leaves the airport right outside Baggage Claim (between the blue pillars), every half hour from 6 am to midnight. It stops at the Manzanita bus stop in Mill Valley (right across the road from the Holiday Inn Express, Fireside and Fountain Motels listed on the Accommodations page). It also stops at other points in Marin County. Cost: $11-20, depending upon destination. No reservations required but do call to confirm schedule.

Marin Door-to-Door

This van will pick you up at the airport and deliver you directly to your hotel or any other location in Marin County. Cost: $25 - $35 per person. Discount for pairs traveling together . You must call to reserve a seat.

Taxi
The cost for a taxi to Mill Valley is approximately $55 - $70, higher for points further north in Marin County.

If flying into the Oakland Airport, there are two options for getting to Mill Valley:

This bus leaves once an hour and stops in San Rafael, about 15 minutes north of Mill Valley. Cost is approximately $20.00. You would need to take another bus or taxi to Mill Valley.
